About me
My journey through the native path started long time ago. As a little boy I used to read a lot about the adventures of Indian heroes. Their nobility made me believe that it was really possible to count on values such as courage, wisdom, honesty and generosity in real life. Many years later I realized the these are the main values of Lakota culture. In time I started to get to know the history and tradition of Lakota people and many other tribes from North America. As I studied the richness of Indian culture, I saw its beauty and learnt its meaning. I was able to share my life passion with others through many events that I organized in my home town – Bydgoszcz: exhibitions, meetings, publications, conferences, shows. They all had one thing in common – their main characters were always Native Americans.
When my friends kindly ask me where did this interest come from, I say this is my whole life. Consisting of laughter and tears, pride and humility, small things and big, fire and water… On this many years’ native journey I did and still do meet many different people. Thanks to their simple kindness and sometimes even friendship I could make not only my projects but also my dreams come through. Among many friends there are also representatives of native Americans. They are the ones who gave me my name Walker. And even though I took my first steps on this path in my home country and it is here where I got to know the value of friendship, I know that because of that I understand better the meaning and the importance of life balance.
